V.ROSE: What’s She gonna do?

It appears that V.rose is setting up for another album to release on the music industry, much to fans anticipation. But even the day 1 fan base may have to wonder what are they’re in for? Since her last studio album the Sacramento born pop singer is independent for the first time of her career. The former status came after a parting of ways from Inpop who no longer desired to be a record label. A decision V.rose has said to be sign from God. The artists stated “that there were things she wanted to do that before she was unable to do”. She also says “I don’t want to feel like I have to protect people from my story”

Opening act

For most fans Rose broke out onto the scene when she teamed up with Flame on the highly acclaimed song Surrender off Flames Captured album and was all too pleased when the partnership became official shortly after. With stunning vocals listeners were hooked and saw Rose bring a unique quality to the CHH genre. A recent single with rapper Mission showcasing that going Indy hasn’t slowed down her momentum in the least. Despite her own admission of not being a rapper herself (although some would argue she may be a hybrid of styles) she has collaborated with veteran artists such as Trip Lee, Derek Minor, Roy Tosh, Viktory, Young Noah the list goes on.

What’s coming up?

If you’ve listened to V.rose for some time you would note her versatile style. A longtime supporter of gospel and hip hop music, not mention R&B and electric pop the avenues presented to her seem vast. It may have come to a surprise to some of the artist’s independent status. This is noted to her not publicizing the change. She has stated that this is by choice and if she wanted to she could “ rock with another label”. However is taking this time to learn what she didn’t beforehand and become a stronger business woman. She may be enjoying the freedom and will release music when she wants and is done waiting 2 years between songs to drop them. “Music is either going to happen or it isn’t” Furthermore Rose says she wants go back to who she was in the beginning, her interview with DJ Wade-O she says “It’s the new me which is sort of like the old me. So a new old me”. What could this mean for future music produced by the artist? Her latest single S.O.S which may make it on the upcoming album may give us a hint into which direction she may be headed. The project’s title maybe labeled “Pause” as in listeners would press pause as the Rose let more about herself and her story be known. But as current shows may suggest the V.rose we know and love isn’t going anywhere; If anything we may get to know her a lot more.
